Children’s Liturgy of the Word is open to children ages 4, 5 & 6. Each Sunday the lesson plan is age appropriate for children, so it should help children to learn about God and what God does for us. It also helps them to understand the Gospel reading for that particular Sunday.
Children who participate will be called forward after the Opening Prayer and be dismissed with their catechists to a classroom in the school. They will hear the Gospel and then participate in a lesson based on the Gospel reading. The children will return to their parents while the gifts are being brought to the altar.
