ALL ABOUT MS. KIM

My name is Kimberly Wilson.  I am the director/teacher of St. Edward Preschool.

I began my child care career in 2001 after earning a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Integrated Strategic Communications (Advertising) and a Women Studies Minor from the University of Kentucky.

I was a daycare teacher at KIDS Club for 3 years. I was a preschool/toddler teacher at A Step Ahead Early Childhood Education Center for 3years.  I was a temporary assistant teacher at the Community Action Council in Cynthiana in the Early Head Start classroom. And now, I am here!

My goals as a preschool teacher are simple. First and foremost every child and parent will feel welcomed into the classroom. Along with that, we will be developing social skills, readiness skills, fine and gross motor control and good work habits. AND, we will do all of this with smiles on our faces. Happy students = happy teachers!

I am a single mother of an AMAZING son named Jackson Dean. He is a student at Southside Elementary. Together, we enjoy shopping, playing soccer and baseball, and traveling.

It's going to be a FABULOUS year!

I am Melissa Richie. I am the assistant teacher of St. Edward Preschool.

I am also a registered child care provider in my home. I have worked in childcare at Gingerbread Preschool and at A Step Ahead Early Childhood Education Center.

My husband, Wayne, and I have been married for 17 years and we have 3 wonderful children: Cody, 15, Anthony, 13, and Cierra, 10. We enjoy spending time together, camping, and shopping.
