Dear St. Edward School Parents,
Thank you for your tremendous support during the Butter Braid Sales. the profit to the school was approximately $1,000 which will be used for future field trip adventures.
The delivery for braids is this Thursday; therefore you will be able to pick them up after school or after the Christmas Program also on Thursday. The Wii Party winners are Eli Hargett and Morgan Cooper with each selling 26 Butter Braids! Congratulations, Morgan and Eli!!!!
****School will be dismissed at 11:30am on Friday, December 16th.
Please have your children in the cafeteria no later than 6:15pm Thursday evening so they can dress for the play. If your child is an animal they should be in solid color clothing, e.g. matching sweat pants and shirt. Angels should be dressed in white or light colored clothing. Other cast members need to dress in dark slacks and dark lightweight shirts as they will be wearing robes which tend to be a bit hot. These characters may also wear sandals on their feet. Female cast members who are not angels should wear light colored solid color slacks and tops as well, sandals are also appropriate. If your child is the “star” white sweat pants and sweat shirt are just fine. If you have any questions about what to wear, please call the office or see me before or after school.
The second quarter grading period ends this Friday, December 16th. Report cards will be sent home the first of January. Congratulations to your children for their outstanding accumulation of Accelerated Reading points thus far. Several have earned the “50’s Club” already! WooHoo!
Remember that we will follow the Harrison County Snow Day schedule which is announced on WCYN radio and on Lexington television stations, 18, 27 and 36. Teachers will be sending home “snow packets” in January for any missed days due to inclement weather. Your child’s teachers will be sending home further details upon our return in January.
We invite you to join us in Brinker Hall for a Holiday Celebration at the conclusion of the Christmas Program Thursday evening. On behalf of St. Edward teachers and staff we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
