Message from our Pastor
Welcome to our St Edward website! Thank you so much for visiting the website of Saint Edward Catholic Church and School. St. Edward’s, a parish of the Diocese of Covington, is located in Cynthiana, KY. The City of Cynthiana is the seat of Harrison County; a place with a long history and an exciting future! Saint Edward’s has a rich traditional role in this community, with many parishioners whose families have been members for generations; as well as a significant number of families who have recently come from other communities.
Ours is a parish where growth in faith and service for Our Lord Jesus Christ is encouraged and fostered through worship, catechesis, devotion to the Sacraments, and volunteerism in a variety of facets. In accord with the teachings of the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church, we seek to prepare our people as witnesses for Our Savior Jesus Christ wherever they may be. As an outreach of our parish, Saint Edward Elementary School provides a quality Christian education for all children of Harrison County and beyond from pre-school through the 5th grade. CLICK HERE to vist the school website for more information.
Information for participating in or joining our parish life is provided on our website. You can look in the top menu under "I'm New" to find information on joining our Parish. And you can find resources to help with your spiritual life under "Catholic Resources". There is also a table at the bottom right of this home page with other resources for existing or new parishioners. If by chance you have been away from the Church, or are searching for a parish home, please come and visit! We welcome visitors with open arms. I believe you will find St. Edward’s to be exactly the Church you have been looking and waiting for.
On behalf of the wonderful community of St. Edward Catholic Church and School, I welcome you home. May the Lord bless you and keep you in His care, Fr. Niby Kannai, Pastor
St Edward Church Bulletins
FYI: Take this link to a website with our St Edward church bulletins. I try and post the newest one the Friday before the mass it will be given out at. If you won't be able to attend mass on any given Sunday, you can still catch up with what's going on in church and school by looking at the Bulletin posted online. And if you need to see who the masses are being said for that next week, who the Liturgical ministers are for the weekend masses, and who is serving for Fr Niby, this is a good resource to use weekly. It's even a great idea to bookmark the bulletin website as a Favorite on your phone or home computer for quicker access.
FYI #2: Bulletin submissions and requests should be called in to the Parish office or emailed by 10:00am on Wednesdays each week to [email protected]
Click HERE to view a library of our St Edward bulletins, starting with February's in 2022. Each bulletin I post to this website will stay on it.
